![]() ![]() James says, "Hello there Shirla! Do you happen to have the ?" ![]() I would guess the latter since once I got my SV Poison over 200 the charm shot up dramatically in effectiveness. I'm not sure if the stats of the charm are based on the total number of your resistance points, or how many of them are over 200. I took a trip to the bazaar and updated my outdated armor that I lovingly spent months questing for and/or making, and once I got my poison resist over 200 (it was 199 previously) the charm capped out for me finally. I'm not sure if the charm was changed in one of the patches or if you really need to have max stats to get the full advantage. I have about a third of the stats that the max are linked above, and my resists are all near or above 200 unbuffed. The statue appears to have lost some of its potency over the years of neglect, however. Ran over and it turns out that James the Watchmaker is still there after all these years, bemoaning the loss of his watches! Turned in all four items (they looked like cogs or gears used in Tinkering) and voila! A Dusty Golden Statue appeared in my inventory. I had a lot of house-cleaning to do on my toons and I ran across the parts for this quest sitting molding on my level 74 mage. I returned to EQ when it became free to play after having relinquished my account to The Grey several years ago. Turn them in and choose from four different charms:Ī Dusty Golden Statue (increases in power as you gain resists from items.)Ī Broken Gearshard (Only works while you're levitating.)Ī Lost Coin (Gets better as your weight decreases.)Ī Locked Case (Improves as you master more languages.) They may be looted prior to retrieving the task. These gears are dropped randomly in the Wall of Slaughter. 0/1 Plane of Knowledgeĭeliver 1 Platinum Etched Gear #3 to James the Watchmaker. 0/1 Plane of Knowledgeĭeliver 1 Platinum Etched Gear #2 to James the Watchmaker. 0/1 Plane of Knowledgeĭeliver 1 Platinum Etched Reinforced Rod to James the Watchmaker. This brings up a quest selector with several quests: One for each hotzone ranging from 20 to 65. James the Watchmaker says, 'That's what I said, watches! Are you hard of hearing? I don't suppose you would like to for my watches? I hate not knowing what time it is! I'm sure I could find something in my backpack to interest you if you found one of my watches!' I wanted to visit some of the places in Norrath that were special to me but I seemed to run into trouble everywhere I visited! And wouldn't you know it but everytime I stopped for a bit I managed to lose one of my !' James the Watchmaker says, 'I lost them when I was travelling last week. You see I usually keep a number of watches with me at all times so I always know what time it is but I recently, well, all of them.' James the Watchmaker says, 'Yes, the time of day. James the Watchmaker says, 'Hello there _! Do you happen to have the ?' He offers a task for each one of the hotzones introduced in the Appatch (listed here for reference).
